Lynn Ligammari, Saxophonist & Teaching Artist

Lynn Ligammari is a graduate from the Eastman School of Music, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Saxophone Performance and Education.

Lynn performs/has performed with a wide array of musical projects that include; Aaron Frazer, Antibalas, Bright Eyes, Conor Oberst, Durand Jones & The Indications, EMEFE, Extra Syrup Horns, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Mike Gordon, Red Baraat, The String Cheese Incident, Red Baraat, Sunny Jain’s Wild Wild East, The Last Nites, Zapoté, and more.

She has played on stages worldwide at venues and festivals such as; Carnegie Hall, NPR, KEXP, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Late Show with David Letterman, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS This Morning, America’s Got Talent, Governor's Ball, the Bluenote, the Newport Jazz Festival, the Newport Folk Festival, Lincoln Center, the Cully Jazz Festival, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, SFJazz, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Central Park Summerstage, Forest Hills Stadium, and more. She has also been featured in the horn section on numerous albums, recordings and TV shows. 

In addition to performing, she is a saxophone instructor for Mannes Prep at the New School, and is a Teaching Artist for Lincoln Center Education where she has led various workshops both at home and abroad for the past 15+ years. She has facilitated individual and group classes for students of all ages, as well as teachers, administrators, community leaders, and more. She is also the recipient of the Emerging Leader and Outstanding Alumni award from the Niagara Falls Board of Education, as well as a 2023 inductee to the Niagara Falls Music Hall of Fame.

Lynn was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, and is a Conn-Selmer artist.
